[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hello Everyone
Busy week without even counting the plants! Weatherwise, the storms & reasonably frequent blackouts forced him to splash out on a new & far better & rather expensive generator a couple of weeks ago.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2873,2871,2878,2882,2883,2891,2885,2893,2897,2899,2903,2901″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The weather and sheer volume of produce means Michael has had to buy another cool room. That was the easy part. The excitement happened this week getting it into the shed. So now’s he’s got a #2 cool room.
There was barely an inch to spare on top & sides. Last one we got as a flat pack and built it in the shed. This one was all in one piece, ready to go with a compressor stuck on top! And weighs 2 tonnes! Then the back hoe to swing it in couldn’t lift it off the truck so Peter had to go back & float the excavator up here & that did lift it as you can see from the photos. But of course couldn’t get the excavator arm into the shed. Perilous swinging & pushing with the tractor forks padded with wooden pallets onto the side of the cool room to push it onto metal pipes to roll it into place assisted with our pallet jack, like rolling blocks of stone when building the pyramids! It took 2 hours. Thankyou Fanelli Excavations, we are indebted.
All in now. Phew.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2905,2906″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]All week the seedling planting, weeding, picking & packing has gone on smoothly due to all the hard work by everyone so all the usual range of salad, green veg & produce will be at the markets on Saturday.
The sweet corn is the new think this week. Its, ready, juicy sweet and yummy! Josh even eats it raw![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2704,2841″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This Saturday in Sydney this is the last usual market till 9th January for Taylor Square market and last for Carriage Works till 16th January.
BUT there is a special market at Carriage Works on Wednesday, called Twilight Market, 23rd December from 4.00pm – 9pm. So you can get your very freshest produce there for the holiday period.
Best wishes for a terrific holiday period, peaceful and full of fun!
