G’day everyone, I would just like to say thank you to all of you that did a rain dance or prayed to your god or even wished on a falling star because today we had 26mm of rain, which was just about all we needed.

There is nothing new this week but the winter citrus has just about ended, no more mandarines or tangerines, but with the recent rain everything else has sprooked up and looking glamour.

One thing that has come up a few times the last few weeks is our prices, 2 things that I feel need to be said, ( I think I’m talking to the converted here ), first we don’t compete with the big 2, these guys are not out there to support growers or anybody that works in an industry that involves produce and there for we aren’t out there to be competitive with them. If you didn’t already know we run a co-op style growers stall, in which there are a handful of organic farms in our area that we sell produce for and we try to return a fair price for there produce, which is usually more then their agent or wholesaler will, so the prices do fluctuate with market trends a bit but you can almost be guaranteed to get a better price for organics then everywhere else ( except for when a shop uses low quality produce).

That’s enough ranting for me today, it’s been a big one and now it’s time to go to bed, and I hope to see you at the markets.
