Munching pests!

And, yes, by hand! Now to pests! The up & down temperatures recently have put the plants under stress, as I have mentioned before, especially at this time of year when the pests’ predator population hasn’t built up. This means leaf devastation![/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid element_width=”6″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1446126523922-8bb30132-55eb-1″ include=”2567,2568″][vc_column_text] The cabbage white caterpillar is munching on kale & a tiny white caterpillar with a ferocious appetite is munching on bok choi & rocket. All this destruction in less than a week! These leaves are obviously now wasted.

We don’t know for sure what it is despite some theories.

Where’s the DPI for identification when you need them? This is what happens when the Govt. cuts funding to essential support networks. The DPI used to be there for you & so helpful in identification & solutions.

So we had to wait for a dry day to use an organic biological spray, BT, which will hopefully check the infestation.[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1446126468971-03ca0e7f-f59d-5″ include=”2574,2576,2577,2578,2582,2579″][vc_column_text]The leaves are being carefully selected this week for wholeness!
